if i must see you in my dreams, please don't wake me...

yes..i don't seem to be the patriotic kind.. XD
anyway, last night i went out to celebrate merdeka....yes i sure did...
i went with aw, chew and 3 of aw's uni mates..victor,galvin and mei jin (dunno how to spell)
they were a group of very very fun people who are all bananas like me.. /wahaha

anyway, aw tricked me into going Red Box.. hey, i've never been into a karaoke place k!! it's like a chinese infested lala place..but apparently not because..i saw people old enough to be my parents there as well singing english songs..and there were quite a number of malays as well..

anyway, they had food there!! it's not bad you know..buffet-ish kind..got sushi sumore..and ice cream..!! we spent a good few hours there..from 7pm till 10..i sang about..half a song towards the end..because aw was getting "emo" because i didn't do anything but ..EAT..!!!

what am i supposed to do... like jieying said..she perfect pitch..when she hears something outta pitch it hurts.. IT HAPPENS TO ME TOO!! and...i can say..only galvin was close to the correct pitch..the rest...all..habis..i was being mentally tortured..i was really getting uncomfortable after 2 hours of outta pitch, out of key and out of rhythm singing at a VERY high decibel..but i survived..and i didn't tell why i wasn't participating or anything.
firstly, i hate listening to my voice being recorded or amplified.
secondly, the pitching was really making me uncomfortable..

i didn't even tell aw about it..very hard to explain and i decided to let it rest.. this one experience is enough to last me for some time..and to make a point that..next time if ever the same situation occurs again.i'd make sure i'm going with music students..i'm sorry to offend anyone..but you won't understand how it actually feels to hear outta pitch stuff... i'm sure jieying understands this..VERY WELL..

anyway, after that we went to The Apartment.. we had drinks there..i ordered a Pink Martini..it was kinda ok..but seriously, i don't like alcohol..at all.....maybe except Ice Wine :P
it was a cute drink..with raspberry taste and all..but..nahh..don't really fancy these things..and i had chocolate mousse there..it was GOOD...

then about 11.45pm we went out and stood infront of CineLeisure to wait for the fireworks..galvin was VERY VERY excited... anyway, when the clock striked 12 and everyone was cheering and spraying stupid foam stuff..nothing happened..no countdown no fireworks..we were like..wtf???!!! and about 5 mins later?? then fireworks came and GUESS WHAT?!! the fireworks were BEHIND CineLeisure..we were like...WHAT THE....!! but after awhile they shot those things higher and we were able to see it clearly..it was very pretty..this time..they had bright light blue fireworks..love that one.. anyway, after it ended..we went to Starbucks because we didn't wanna get stuck in the jam..and we sat there till 2pm?? *latest i've been home..ever*

and from this countdown celebration like thing of a merdeka..it's so obvious that when i look at the people around me... these people don't give a shit to Merdeka.. they are there for the sake of having something huge with fireworks to celebrate..and that everyone is there..that includes myself...i usually just stay at home..i prefer staying at home actually..but it was fun last night..
oh..and my goodness, last night..everywhere i look..these malay girls..who..i must say..are pretty.. showing of parts of their body..they were wearing to the extremes mann..what happen to covering everything?? what more..it's Merdeka?! honestly, even for someone as unpatriotic as me..last night was a real eye opener...
i bet you only 1 out of the hundreds actually feel like they're celebrating for the independance of our own country..the rest..are just... there for the celebration.. i actually felt a little disappointed..and embarrassed...
